I love having dinner with my friends at home. It's fun to cook a meal and I like to be able to sit at the table for as long as we want and not feel any rush to leave. I love lighting candles to set the mood and have some snacks while we finish up cooking. This dish has a drawing of the before-the-meal time, where three friends begin their evening together by catching up, pouring wine, lighting the candles, and having some crudités. The dish is 11” x 7.5” x 4”. It is completely functional.
Each piece is wonkily handbuilt. If you are looking for a pristine piece of handmade ceramics then this is not it! It is built securely but with character. It is food and microwave safe, but I would recommend lovingly hand-washing it. Each piece is one of a kind, made out of earthenware clay and painstakingly sgraffito-ed with goofy imagery.
